Conference Continuing Education

Eligible sessions at the AUCCCD Annual Conference offer continuing education (CE) credit through several accrediting organizations.

Continuing education is optional and may be selected during conference registration. Sessions that do not qualify for CE credit will be clearly identified in the conference schedule, conference app, and printed program.

Earning Continuing Education Credit

To receive continuing education credit, participants must:

• Attend each eligible session in its entirety.
• Scan their conference badge when entering each CE session.
• Complete the electronic continuing education evaluation following the conference.
• Submit the evaluation by the stated deadline.
• Register for and pay the applicable continuing education fee.

Certificates are distributed electronically after the conference once attendance and evaluation requirements have been completed. Annual evaluation deadlines and certificate distribution dates are communicated directly to registered CE participants.

American Psychological Association (APA)

AUCCCD is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer continuing education for psychologists. AUCCCD maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC)

The Association for University and College Counseling Center Directors (AUCCCD) has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6312. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. AUCCCD is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

National Association of Social Workers (NASW)

This program is approved by the National Association of Social Workers (Approval #886486187-3360) for continuing education contact hours. The number of approved contact hours is announced each year with the conference program.

New York State Continuing Education

Eligible sessions also qualify for continuing education credit for:

• Licensed Psychologists
• Licensed Clinical Social Workers
• Licensed Master Social Workers
• Licensed Mental Health Counselors

The University at Buffalo Counseling Services is recognized by the New York State Education Department as an approved provider of continuing education for:

• Licensed Psychologists – Provider #PSY-0110
• Licensed Master Social Workers and Licensed Clinical Social Workers – Provider #SW-0504
• Licensed Mental Health Counselors – Provider #MHC-0129

Sessions that do not qualify for New York State continuing education credit will be clearly identified.
